Amazing workshop with RADA alumni Kett Turton, Katie Krane, O-T Fagbenle, Lauren Swann, Annika Boras, Justin Adams at Vineyard Arts Project on Martha's Vineyard, last August.
Saviana wrote some great scenes and monologues as part of the RIOTS PROJECT co-authored with David Simpatico, directed by Nona Shepphard.
Dream Act Project
Playwrights: Chiori Miyagawa (Japan-born playwright); Andrea Thome (Latina playwright, a child of immigrants); Saviana Stanescu (Romanian playwright, as you know); Jessica Litwak (Jewish American playwright); Mia Chung (Korean American playwright, a child of immigrants).

Advisory board members include: Erin Dowdling, high school teacher at Queens International; Linda Chapman, Associate Artistic Director of NYTW; Mia Yoo, Artistic Director of LaMama, John Eisner, Artistic Director of Lark Play Development Center, Carlo Alban, an actor who was undocumented since 1986 to 2008. And the list is growing.
We have already gotten together and read through 5 separate plays. We are now in the process of integrating the plays, taking each others' characters and themes to come up with a new piece which is whole.
